This house brings a smile to my face. If you look closely you will see why. Maybe it will make you smile as well. Click on the photo and find out for yourself.
I took these photos when Linda Hockert brought in her My Small World top to Eagle Creek Quilt Shop where I work and teach.
The original quilt has embroidered landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, but Linda chose to add The Golden Gate Bridge.
Here is a darling tiny tractor next to Linda's barn block.
Marv always finds a soft spot to crash. Look at those long legs...he has a hard time hiding them. We were up at the cabin after the Fourth of July. I finished starching my fabric for Midnight at the Oasis and I cut 1 1/2" strips from almost all of them...at least the darks, not the lights. I am starting with the 9-patches as a way to evaluate my color choices. I'll see how I like them some time soon.
My name is Chris Barnard and I have been quilting for 30 years and teaching classes for 10 years. My goal is to inspire people to begin their quilting journey, to finish projects already started and to share my passion for quilts.
