I guess this table runner is like a fine wine and needed time to age. I designed the center pinwheel block but then the writing of the pattern took quite a while longer. The method of sewing with triangles is clever, fun and so easy. I figured out a way to cut the strip piecing time in half. Go me! Machine quilted by The Scribbler.
A trip to Herefordshire, England was the inspiration for this quilt. My husband and I stayed with friends, the owners of a very special cottage. To me, travel and fabric shopping go hand-in-hand. (Just ask my family.) I bought the solid fabrics on this trip. This pattern was also my first design available for purchase. Please see my store for purchase. Many of my quilts are machine quilted by someone else. In this case, it was Judy Remiger.
My name is Chris Barnard and I have been quilting for 20 years and teaching quilt classes for 10 years. My goal, besides sharing my passion for quilting, is to inspire people to begin quilting or finish quilts already started.
